Held Social Media workshops, provided recommendations and helped to manage the
    Freeview Facebook page
, which grew in Likes from 100 to 11,500; Put Freeview's Online Programme Guide onto Facebook so users can get access to a free guide - the only TV Guide in New Zealand to be on Facebook. Created Freeview Alerts - a tool that emailed users weekly about programmes of interest, the only of it's kind in New Zealand.

  • AUT (Auckland University of Technology):
Roles: Project Manager, Front-End HTML/CSS template creation, Flash Banner creation, Testing.

Launched an entire new section on New Zealand's largest news site: The New Zealand Herald, dedicated to AUT's proposition of 'A Changing World'. Launch included both dynamic banners and flash animated banners, videos, articles, and supporting pages on the AUT website. This is now a permanent fixture on the New Zealand Herald website. We created a dynamic banner system, so the client can upload an image, text and a URL, and create banners on the fly. Working with New Zealand Herald, we created a system where the creation of new banners and approval took minutes not days - especially important for breaking news that could be tied in with AUT's Changing World.

SKYCITY Cinemas: Launched the SKYCITY Cinemas website (Now Event Cinemas). Prior to this project the old website was renowned for being a very slow with atrocious usability. The new website launch was a huge success with the design being replicated across to the Australian Event Cinemas website. Technically it was a large load-balanced, PCI-compliant, e-commerce website that had around 35,000 visitors a week. It also required to host advertising for other companies as a revenue source, which has been very successful.   More Info>

Client Case Studies:

  • adidas:
Roles: Project Manager, Technical Support, Testing, Detailed Analytics Reporting.

Launched the cheeky JerseySwap campaign to encourage women to be more interested in rugby. The results were staggering. The campaign went viral world-wide and far exceeded all expectations. The site received hundreds of thousands of hits in its first week alone, with most of the traffic coming from internationals gay blogs - an unanticipated outcome. Renowned Gay Blogger - Perez Hilton gave the site a review saying: 'Viral Marketing done right!'. It was multi-award winning, featured in various major newspapers in New Zealand, online articles world-wide in numerous languages, and parodied on New Zealand Radio show websites. It met the brief - the girls loved it!  More Info>

  • Nissan:
Roles: Project Manager, Technical Support, Testing, Detailed Analytics Reporting.

Nissan launched their new campaign for 2009 & a significant portion of the budget was spent online. We created a series of video eye-blaster banners that were basically a mini micro-site in a banner. It was published on almost every major news & events site in the country. The banners achieved a click through rate more than four times the normal rate & won the title of Yahoo "Banner of the Month" for May 2009.

They were deemed to be so impressive that several news and performance car websites offered to host the banners for free. The banner creative was influential to the point where all press advertising was based around the online design and a two page spread with front cover placement was featured in NZDriver Magazine.  More Info>

Client Case Studies:

  • adidas:
Roles: Resource Manager, Testing and Support.

This project was designed to reinstate faith in the All Blacks Jersey. The campaign would deliver almost all communication through the website. The focus was on the symbolic black jersey, not the All Blacks themselves. With only a four week turn around time this proved to be near impossible, but was delivered. Every other project (over 50) in the studio had to be re-resourced, however still delivered on time. The whole studio worked hard to deliver an exceptional project while keeping our other clients still at the forefront of our business.

  • Tourism New Zealand (www.newzealand.com):
Roles: Project Manager, SLA Co-ordinator, Testing, Content Loading, Technical Support, On-going delivery of both large and small projects for the site.

The www.newzealand.com website is New Zealand's largest international website with over 4 million visitors each year. It is especially important with Tourism being a key industry in New Zealand bringing in close to 10% of the national GDP. The website is content-rich targeting 16 markets in 4 different languages. It was the first New Zealand website to win a Webby award, and is the only New Zealand website to win two consecutively as well as being a finalist in the third year. It was so ground-breaking, that tourism boards around the world replicating their sites to look similar, (although were given warning from Tourism New Zealand to cease).

Key areas included the Travel Planner - allowing users to plan their trip around NZ. All created prior to Google Maps, and had one of the most detailed online maps of New Zealand at the time. Translation of the entire site from English to Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean and German. Working with Google to create a 'Layer' for Google Earth, to syndicate content so the 'Bubbles' on Google Earth showed information from www.newzealand.com website.
